Sleigh it for the kids!
Young Milwaukee invites you to our ninth annual Holiday Gala on Friday, Dec. 7 at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts. This charitable event raises proceeds for the Journey House and spreads the magic of the holiday season to deserving children in our community.
Join us for the black-tie optional event, featuring live music, tasting stations, libations, and a toy drive for underprivileged youth on Milwaukee’s Southside.
Let’s top last year’s efforts:
- 1,300+ attendees
- 1,743 youth each received two brand new toys
- 127 teens received gift cards
- $25,000 in proceeds donated directly to Journey House
One DREAM. One TEAM.
Journey House programs serve mostly underprivileged youth on the Southside of Milwaukee. More kids live here than any other area in Wisconsin – 85% of the youth come from families that are considered living at or below the poverty level, approximately 25% are foster kids, and 57% live in a single-family home.
This is your opportunity to be a Secret Santa for a deserving child in our community. Please bring an unwrapped toy to place under the tree. Learn more about Journey House and their mission at www.journeyhouse.org.
All that glitters is at the gala
Milwaukee sure is pretty in the wintertime, and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts couldn’t be a better backdrop for our gala. This new venue offers more capacity for guests and entertainment.
We’re excited to come together at the setting of culture, community, and holiday enchantment for the Journey House.
Formal attire is encouraged.
